annette makes mostly unique ´functional decorative´ pieces. the material itself, brightness of space and day/artificial light inspire her. SHE FEELS GOOD WITH: ´LESS DESIGNED (IT LOOKS) THE BETTER´. she is specialized in decorating metal mesh. works that fit in the surrounding architecture are preferred. 

EDUCATION: 1975-1982 Atheneum Rijnlands Lyceum Oegstgeest; 1982-1987 architectural design Rietveld Academy Amsterdam, traineeshipS AT R. ECKHARDT IN AMSTERDAM, Parsons Academy and P. STARCK offices in Paris, modules project with light-artist J. van Santen; Followed courses such as printing techniques, press/ publicity, AUTOCAD, VECTORWORKS AND A SECRETARIAL AND GASTRONOMY/ HOTEL TRAINING. (Hobby-like COURSES: spanish, italian, photography, falconry, fence, DOGSLEDGING, flamenco, baroque and tap dance etc.)   ^

EMPLOYMENT: 1988-1990 interior designer showrooms, parking project with J. van Santen; 1991-1992 parttime hostess, secretary; 1993-1995 assistant to managing director for -STARTING UP- AN European organiZation (organiZing meetings, designing invitations/ computer presentations etc.); 1996-1997 working out ART/ INTERIOR ideas (IN MILAN), such as play of lights and framed cabinet (OBJECTS); 1998-2005 BESIDE WORKING PARTTIME MAINLY concentrating on DECORATED METAL MESH  (DUTCH PATENT, ASSISTED BY syntens innovation centre ETC.)  ^^

membership: bno - Dutch designers association (vrije vormgevers), Beeldrecht (for copyright) and FNV Kunstenbond (artists association).
